Stopped here for brunch with Nicole B and another friend. I ordered the spicy siracha bloody mary which was so spicy it made my eyes water, loved it!! We were given blueberry cornbread muffins and chocolate scones which just melted in my mouth. I was not impressed with the brunch menu, not a lot to choose from and I did not like at least one ingredient in every choice. The waiter was not very helpful about substituting ingredients either. I finally settled on the roast beef sandwich just because there wasnt anything else I was interested in, and Nicole B got the potato gnocci. Our 3rd friend ordered french toast which looked fantastic. I split my roast beef with Nicole B and she shared her gnocci. I actually liked that better than mine. It was also very dark and dismal inside which is hard to endure on a bright, sunny beach day. I would much rather be sitting outside somewhere. May be back for seafood sometime but definitely not brunch, and it's not a priority to get back here any time soon as there are so many other great places to go.

Excellent food, a little loud and bright but had a great meal and an awesome dessert. Will definitely go back!

Sustainable! Eco friendly! These buzz words are getting thrown around by every restaurant trying to attract the easily influenced and fake trying to be green and support local farmers yuppies. Oh yeah, that's me. I'm not fake trying to be green though, I am trying to be green! I recycle and use reusable bags. Is that enough? And I'm attracted to these places that say they do the same. Judge it if you want, but as for Nage, they can say whatever they want because their food can back it up. To start, got the warm vegetable salad - bunch of roasted veggies in a ridiculously good goat cheese and reduced balsamic reduction. Ah-mazing. Really really tasty, fresh, and cooked to perfection. If you've read my other reviews, you'd know I'm normally not this nice. But this was good. For my entree, got the Seafood A La Nage - shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels, fennel, potato, tomato-saffron broth for a hefty $33, not as unique and amazingly good as the vegetable salad, but still really fresh and tasty. All in all, I LOVED this place. It was a perfect nicer, classy but laid back restaurant after a day at the beach. Wear a sundress or khakis and a polo and you'll fit in just fine!

Oh my goodness, the fries......we had other things too, but the fries.......I will dream about them for a long time. Other than the fries, observations are that the small plates are more for 2 to share. Unless you're really hungry. OR, you could have a small plate, and then some fries!!!!!!!!

Great food, great atmosphere, and amazing wine. This place looks a bit out of the way on the stop mall, but once you step inside, the ambiance is welcoming and romantic. We had the Crab and lister ravioli which was to die for - creamy filling with a pop of heirloom tomatoes- as well as the trout which had a bit of kick, but in all the right ways. This is definitely a great place to come if you are in the area!

Went for a meal with 5 other people; poor quality overall. Everyone says the food is good & high quality, however, it's clear whoever thinks this food is good doesn't actually eat food that's high quality and/or food prepared tastefully. Ordered the seafood a la nage; mussels were over cooked & about as large as the nail on my pinky finger. The supposed lobster was about the size of a waded up dollar bill (and tasted like one, too). My dish was to include prawns & for those who no not the difference between a prawn & a shrimp...well, all I can say is-honey, you're eating shrimp! A couple of our friends had the halibut & they said it was good, however, it appeared as though their accompaniment of Israeli couscous seemed the larger of the portions (and they told me the couscous was dry). Another couple had the 'porterhouse chop' (which is the pork producers' way of making pork chops sound more enticing)! Regardless, one of the pork servings was over cooked & dry; although to be fair, they said the accompanying risotto was good. All & all, I believe Nage to be overhyped & overpriced. Sorry for such a negative review folks yet unfortunately, 4 out of our 6 dinner companions concur with my assessment.

Really an outstanding experience. From the charred beet salad to the trout and the spaghetti to the salted Carmel creme' brûlée it was special. Nice indoor atmosphere.

I went here again with family and tried their burger which is considered one of Food Networks' top 50 burgers in the country. As usual, I was impressed and wish we lived closer. Excellent, friendly service and now they have wine flights, too!

I hate to give it a positive review since it's getting harder to get a table these days, but Nage is one of our favorite places for dinner when we come to the beach. I wouldn't call them 'kid friendly' but they are accommodating when we bring our son (now 4.5). So far we have always enjoyed the food here. Highly recommended!

We eat at Nage DC all the time and are always pleased so we thought we would give the Rehoboth Nage a try. On a Tuesday, the place was PACKED and Extremely noisy. We had 8:00 reservation but were not seated until nearly 8:30. This is a pet peeve of mine. We sat another 10 minutes before we saw our waitress. We ordred drinks and another wait for them. At around 9:00 we got our drinks and ordered our food. When we finally got our meals after less of a wait. The food was as good as we had expected. Unfortunately, The wait deminished our experience. The restaurant was UNDERSTAFFED. Maybe we will try it again in the off season but with other choices in the area we won't be in a rush to get back..

Beware the main portions are varied in sizes. Some were small and others were pretty big. The appetizers were larger than the entrees. The asparagus was not very well done, it was pretty hard. We were served by Danny and he was really nice. I had the mac and cheese and it was pretty good. I wasn't really impressed. They allowed you to alter the ingredients. So I had it with no mushrooms. They forgot the kielbasa on my dad's pork loin but he liked it. I think its over-rated. They have nice bathrooms. We had a reservation. There weren't many people there. It wasn't cheap. It was all freshly made.

Possibly the best meal of my life. My stepmother's frites were delicious and crispy. My soup was really good. The pan roasted chicken was perfect, and the vegetables were sliced really thin with a great crispiness. I had caramel creme brulee for dessert and it, too, was incredible. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely be back.

This place is fabulous. From the ambience To the service, to the food, and drinks! We were seating in a nice half booth and greeted by a pleasant and knowledgable server. She took our beverage order and returned with our drinks promptly. My folks then joined us and she was quick with their drinks as well. My husband and father both had the asiago oysters to start and they claimed they were out of this world. I had the hummus and my mom had the sweet potato fritters which were a special. All was fantastic! For our entrees my husband had the soft shell crabs special and I had the new York strip special, my dad a crab cake and my mom the filet. All was cooked to perfection and made with a passion for fresh and different! I enjoyed my strip with a glass of la crema Pinot noir which is one of my favorite wines and my husband enjoyed several craft beers throughout his meal. I recommend this restaurant to anyone whom is seeking a unique and amazing experience! They are sure to wow you!

The first time we visited was for Delaware Dines Out week a few months ago. Unfortunately for everyone involved, it also happened to be Groupon Expiration Day - the place was packed, a madhouse, and the service suffered. I would have been OK with never going back (hey, it's also almost an hour from home), except... ohhhhhhh, the fooooooood! Even with the overcrowding and slow service due to two huge promos on the same day, the food was absolutely divine. My mouth was still watering every time I thought of it all these months later. So when I saw a Nage Groupon come through, I figured, "why not give it another try?" and bought one. We purposely chose a late dinner, mid-week this time. I had the Lamb Cassoulet, and he had the Center Cut Filet Mignon. Both were excellent (we each tasted the other's entree). The service was much more attentive this time - I'm not actually sure which wait staff was "ours" as we had both a man and a woman waiting on us interchangeably, as far as I could tell. Whatever it was, it was very lucky or very well coordinated, because we wanted for nothing. I got the pomegranate panna cotta to go, because I wasn't hungry but it sounded too good to pass up. It didn't travel very well (again, an hour home), but it was delicious despite its somewhat disheveled appearance when I opened it up at home.

When another restaurateur makes a suggestion that you try a place, well, you do that! So, we did venture over the Nage which is tucked in a little strip mall behind the PNC bank. The waiter gave a recommendation for the crab cakes and he was spot on. The cakes were light, sweet, and accompanied by a succotash which will alter your perspective on that old side dish. Steak, a great restaurant cut and served with a very nice sauce. We did not pursue the wine list..the generous martini pretty much made me happy. In the offseason, we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

I visited Nage on a quick beach and shopping get away with @kgdc1. My visit was very nice. The food was very good, the atmosphere was cool, and the service was excellent. The decor is beautiful, uncluttered and modern. and the live music was an added bonus! i pondered just a moment over my stars but could not give better than 3.4 because there were just a few shortcomings. First, the White Sangria was very average, not really fruity. I think it was more of a wine cooler, with average house white wine and ginger ale, and one tired slice of orange on the side of the glass that never actually touched/flavored the beverage. Also, my Apple Salad was not an appetizer size, but a huge salad with lots of Fiber! I was hungry, it did not taste bad, and I kept on eating. I should have been happy, but all that chewing just made me full. The salad reminded me of one of the Mystery Baskets on Chopped, where the chef is given a lot of "unusual ingredients" and has to make something palatable out of 'em in 10 minutes! There were several lettuces, pear slices, leeks or celeriac or something, prosciutto, nuts, grains, and many others along with the balsamic reduction dressing. Wow, I will be careful not to order that again! Oh, one other thing - the Beet Salad ordered by @kgdc1 also looked and tasted like an experiment from Chopped - tasty but different! However, the Flight of Summer Whites was an excellent presentation of 3 white wines - served all at once and sitting labeled on a slim coaster with cute quotes about wine that I had never heard. The wines were an excellent compliment to my plate of Ginger-Seared Scallops. These were nicely sized scallops and deliciously grilled in Truffle oil and accompanied by artfully arranged shaved pear, celery, and cucumber slices with peanuts (more fiber). The Nage Frites were also very, very good! There were white and sweet potatoes delicately juliennned and fried in that delicious truffle oil. I could not stop eating them! I will definitely return to Nage the next time I am in town, with the hope of increasing my star rating.

The condescending host pretended that there were no seats available during lunch for my family when the restaurant was obviously only a quarter full. He then seated the people behind us. I have never felt so insulted and belittled. We have four wonderful well behaved children. I am proud of my family and they should be ashamed of treating us like dirt. I would not recommend going to this restaurant unless you enjoy being treated like a second class citizen.

Normally I find Nage very good, however the menu seems to rarely change. Their Nage Burger is among the best in the area. However, for my past 3 visits I ordered it medium rare, which the kitchen seems incapable of getting it correct. Last night was no different, I have sent it back before, but they seem to keep messing it up. The staff is very nice, but the chefs need help making burgers medium rare.

Nage is my favorite place to go around here!! There aren't many good places to eat in Dover, especially after moving here from DC where there are hundreds if not thousands of restaurants to choose from. Nage was a discovery I made about 3 months after moving to the area. It's a wine bar and restaurant, with a full bar that you can sit down and eat dinner at if you prefer. There is also live Jazz music on certain nights. For starters I've tried a few things, and haven't been disappointed yet. The marinated olives with rosemary and chili flakes are delish, and a light thing to start with, easily shared. You could also go with the SAY "Cheese" platter and get a nice selection to try! There plates are a nice size, you could eat them for yourself as the entree, or share with the group. My sister and I wanted to get steaks but also wanted salad, so we decided to share the Warm Vegetable Salad with Goat Cheese, mmmm so tasty!! For my main dish, I've had a couple different ones. The Ricotta Gnocchi with the sun-dried tomato pesto is oh so good (I had that on a Friday in Lent) but the center cut Filet Mignon is the best steak I've ever had in my life (and I've had many a steak, this particular one 4 or 5 times). It comes with a heavenly potato cake, which is a baked pocket of truffle oil and mashed potatoes. The best ever. Eat it with a slice of perfectly medium rare filet and it's a party in your mouth!! Every time I go I say I want to try something new but I usually end up with the filet because it is that good. They also have wonderful wine flights that you can choose from, or try 2oz, 4oz, 6oz, or 8oz of many of the wines on their list. The cocktails are creative and tasty too!! And let me just end by saying, the greatest thing about Nage besides the food, is that there is a Groupon for it every 3 months or so :D It can get a bit pricey, but with the Groupon, you can get the filet mignon every time and not worry about your wallet as much :)

My fiance and I ate here for the first time for Valentine's day dinner. From the outside, being next to an outlet liquor store was not very impressive, but as soon as we walked in the atmosphere changed and was very upscale and modern. They seemed a little short on service by the waitress did a good job of being friendly. We split the Nage Frites for an appetizer and they were deliciously fried, shoe string fries in a huge portion. For dinner, I had the night's special a lamb shank and he had the Steak frites. The shank was amazing because of the raspberry reduction and the meat was tender and came as a huge portion. We both think the shank outshined the Steak frites, which was good but nothing memorable. All in all, we would definitely come back to try out more of their menu.

I have been coming for many years the food is nothing less than solid some of the dishes , usually the special, are Brilliant. Service is very good and consistent and some if the staff has been here for years. Some of the best wine selections around and offering over thirty wines by the glass. Nage never disappoints

Great upscale restaurant in nestled away next to Outlet Liquors. The girlfriend and I got the "group-on" $40 off deal and went for a nice dinner. The dining area was maybe half full around 7 p.m., and the bar area was desolate. There were only two waiters working that evening, but they were very attentive. Ours had a body odor issue though - that is really the only complaint I have about the establishment. I had the steak frites, she had the sirloin. Both were absolutely delicious. We also split a creme brûlée for dessert, although it was not the best; for some strange reason, they coat it with salt. As far as finer dining establishments go in the Rehoboth area, Nage has to be in the top 10. The steak is that good.

Tried for the second time and will not be back. Lobster bisque was aweful- had almonds in it, not lobster! French onion soup was really dark, and more beef broth than anything . Shared the recommended crab cake, it was not "Huge" or tasty as touted. It was dry, and they poured a sweet tomato chutney on top. I'd much rather have the taste of old bay. We did not even barely touch it, after tasting, and was not asked by our waiter if anything was wrong. The only thing good was my tiny glass of wine (about 3 sips- tasty but really, 3 sips?) We are locals, and have heard so much about this place. But to me, it was $65 down the tubes.

Nage has become my favourite restaurant to eat when I am at the beach. Always interesting menu, a fantastic buzz, great atmosphere, outstanding service...it is such a shock that it is in an unassuming location in a strip mall across from the outlets! But that lends to its charm...We have eaten there 5 times since the summer and have brought many friends there. All have raved about their experience there. I plan to bring many more friends when summer hits. Look forward to their upcoming ventures in Rehoboth (a takeout sandwich place called "Root" will open soon next to their location and they are opening a sister restaurant downtown on Baltimore Ave, the "gay-borhood"....). LOVE THIS PLACE.

I was initially skeptical when I saw the location (small strip mall on the highway) and the decor, but this restaurant came highly recommended. We had made reservations for 4 for a wedding night dinner. First, the staff did nothing at all to acknowledge the occasion--not even a congratulations at the door. For an upscale restaurant, that surprised me. Now, on to the food: we split the baked oysters as an appetizer. They were juicy and so full of flavor we immediately ordered more. For an entree, I had softshell crabs in a spicy sauce. Actually two of us at the table ordered this. I thought it was spiced just right and wonderfully flavorful, but my friend thought it was too spicy. Someone at the table ordered the grouper. It looked gorgeous, but she had ordered it medium rare and said it was slightly overcooked and a little dry. Still, the food had a LOT of flavor and the bill was startlingly inexpensive, especially for Rehoboth, which is generally overpriced when it comes to food. I'm looking forward to going back, just to try the food again.

So we have been dying to eat at Nage for the past few years and for some reason or another never got a chance while at the beach. But this past weekend we made sure that we did and I am SO glad that we did! It is amazing. The ambiance is great- it is dark, well decorated and comfortable yet sheek. We sat in a comfortable booth and the service the whole time was amazing! Our waitress was fantastic- she was extremely knowledgable and made great suggestions (when asked). I started with the margarita (they infuse their own tequila with jalepenos) and it was the perfect combination of spicy and salty- it was fantastic. They have a great wine and beer selection as well and all of their homemade cocktails are original and delicious. it was really hard to pick what to start with on the menu- everything sounded so delicious but we decided to start with the blue corn johnny cakes, dogfish (local brewery) mussles and baked oyster asiago. Everything was delicious- the mussles were incredible- the best I have ever had and the baked oysters are a must have- I could have ordered them as a meal- their creamed spinach (that they make them with) is the best I have ever had (and I dont even like cooked spinach). The johnny cakes were great and they only came with 3 of them (there were 4 of us) and to our suprise when when they came out they had put an extra 4 johnny cakes on the plate so that we all could get a few. During our evening (there was a debate at the table on truffles and where if they were a mushroom or just an underground root) so we asked the waitress and 5 seconds later the chef came to our table with an explaination. He came by later in the night as well. Everyone was extremely attentive (but not overbearing) and helpful. For our main courses I got the halibut- it was amazing, the ingredients all went so well together. The guys ordered a special which was lamb sausage and even though I have sworn off lamb I decided that since they were raving about it I had to try it and pretend it wasnt a cute little lamb- it was fantastic! And my friend ordered the pan roasted organic chicken - that was also amazing. I ordered the "flight of wine" that was pinot noir and they were all fantastic and very large pours. As a night cap I got the Coffee Nage- I love to drink my dessert and I must say it was amazing- way better than my normal nutty irishman) and we all shared the Crème Brulee and a lemon tart dessert- we practically licked the plates clean! We loved it so much we decided to go back for brunch on Sunday and it was a like a homecoming with the staff- everyone welcomed us and treated us like regulars. Brunch was all amazing! I got the creme brulee french toast (if you like creme brulee it is to die for) it is crispy and sugary and great! The blood orange crush is amazing and tastes like juice, they give you a basket of pastries that are phenominal, the burger is so juicy and flavorful and the Eggs Sardou is amazing (they make it with the creamed spinach). If you are in Dewey/Rehoboth and dont try Nage shame on you- it is the best restaurant for dinner and brunch!

Love this restaurant. Not at all what I expect from a touristy, outlet mall ridden beach town. They have an amazing Happy Hour at the bar 7 days a week from 4-6 (drinks are different everyday, so ask the bar tender) the baked oysters asiago are the best baked oysters I've ever had! Their Mac and Cheese appetizer is outrageous! Haven't had dinner here yet, but came both nights we were here just for the happy hour menu. Nice staff, quick service. Seriously as good a gourmet restaurant as you would find in any major city. You'll be sorry if you miss this gem.

This is a hidden gem considering it's on route 1, but the place is fantastic. The food was great and beer selection was impressive. Very friendly and knowledgable waiters. I think reservations is the way to go though as this place can get busy now that word is out about it. There's also a really great deli located right next door if you're heading out of town and need lunch to go.

A nice place with nice people and pretty good food plus a nice amount of wine by the glass. The name suggests that Nage is a wine bar - it isn't, and the wine list shows that with many issues identifying producer, region, and year (it would be difficult for me to order a wine listed only as 2005 Gevrey Chambertin from Cote D'Or without having any idea about the producer). The corn soup was fresh and well made with a combination of sweetness and smokiness. The crab cake lunch entree was fine and included some nice accompaniments - it would have been much better if with a smaller portion including more lump crab rather than repeating a mistake I saw elsewhere in Rehoboth by thinking that bigger portions are better. Overall, I would definitely return to Nage - give it a try.

My sister and I were here on a shopping excursion desperately seeking a local dinner spot. From the parking lot it looked closed. They seem to be renovating the exterior but when we went inside it was a whole different world. It was a dark, classy atmosphere with really friendly wait staff and hostesses. We didn't have a reservation and they fit us right in. We both had a glass of wine which was divine. I opted for the fish special which was delicious. Fresh halibut seasoned and cooked perfectly on top of asparagus with a Crayfish and corn sauce. My sister had the Nage Burger which was also amazing. It was seasoned so well and the frites were crispy and delicious. It was even better the second day as a leftover lunch. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area! I'm also so happy to know that they have a location in DC.

I only went here one time based on rave reviews from friends. After the meal, I found out they were quite wrong and still can't understand all the love for this place. Sadly, the best part of the meal was the grits appetizer. Both my wife and I order steaks as we were told that Nage was as good or better than the steak house across the street. These certainly didn't seem like dry aged cuts. They didn't taste any better than buying a steak at the grocery and pan frying it at home. My wife ordered a drink special and it tasted like bug spray. Even the dessert was subpar. I would recommend avoiding this place and haven't been back since.

I moved down to the beach in June and have read the raving reviews about Nage, but never had the opportunity to try it out, until now, off season. We waited to be seated by a very immature hostess for over 15 min while the place was almost empty. There were two of us, they seated us at a very tiny table right outside the kitchen. We waited a very inappropriate amount of time to even get a drink order in, then waited another length of time for the waiter, whom was on his cell phone standing in the kitchen right behind us. We did not order paid for our very overpriced cocktails and left. Regardless how good the food is here I will not be back. Service is service, it was the first impression, and it was a very bad one. Sorry Nage, your off our books for good. After we left we walked next door to Touch of Italy, yes not as trendy and overpriced but had a really good Italian meal with no attitude or unconcerned wait staff.

Nage = NOT. A couple of years ago we discovered Nage and it was great. Unfortunately, tonight that was not the case. First of all do not order the mussels. They were so tiny you will need a magnifying glass to find them once you open the shells. Disappointment #1. After waiting no less than 25 minutes between the appetizer and entree we finally received dinner. One would think when ordering a leg of lamb you would get just that but no...that isn't what we received. Instead, on the plate was a slice of lamb in a bowl of something that looked like watered down gravy with a huge side of sliced carrots. So odd! Now on to my chicken entree which was incredibly salty. The one redeeming factor was the side of grits and Brussel sprouts which were good. Needless to say, we will not return to Nage. As foodies this restaurant now has too many misses.

Never fails. We brought our 15 year old daughter for the first time while visiting this past week. She wanted to try the mac and cheese, and we got some of their amazing baked oysters to all share. She SWOONED when she realized there was peas, but even more just couldn't get over how amazing the dish was with the truffle flavor. We are SO PROUD. She tried her first baked oyster and also just loved it. We shared some frites and we each tried a special. For dessert we had the salted caramel creme brulee. OH MY GOD...... it's now at the top of the favorite creme brulee list ever. Just is always amazing... thanks for being one of our must haves.

Took my mom here for her birthday and she was blown away by the food and service! Our server spike was awesome and really took care of us. We had the buffalo oysters, frites, French onion soup, BBQ duck and crab cakes...it was all delicious!! I recommend it!

We had lunch here on a hot summer day. The place was about half full. The wine was very good, the meal was good with high quality ingredients. Something was missing from the interior layout of the restaurant and although the meal was good, it just seemed to miss the mark. The service was adequate but not enthusiasiastic. It was good enough that I would try it again but am not ready yet to fully endorse it. We had the turkey brie sandwich and the lobster gnocchi.

Party of four, went here for dinner this evening. We had the mac & cheese and garbonzo bean fritters for starters. Everything was just so good. They also brought out fresh bread and deep fried frites. Again, so freaking good. We had duck breast (this evening's special), seared tuna, and crab cake as entrees. Everything was spot on perfect, fresh, and well thought out. Our server was so warm and attentive, but not too attentive. There was also a gentleman playing light blues classics on guitar in the corner. For dessert we had creme brulee, key lime pie, and flourless chocolate cake. The creme brulee was voted the best of the three. I was so stuffed, I could not finish the creme brulee. Everything about Nage was so satisfying and perfect for us. I am so impressed with this place from start to finish. My only complaint is that the tables are perhaps a little bit too close together but it really didn't effect the quality of our experience one bit. Nage is pricey but sometimes you get what you paid for, and this restaurant is worth every penny and then some. Nage is also a farm-to-table restaurant which I really like. Thank you, Spike, for your kind and awesome service, and thank you, Nage. And in the words of the immortal Arnold Schwarzenegger, we will be back. :-)

Super unpretentious but classy bistro with amazing food. They were really accommodating about us sharing dishes and we enjoyed the truffle mac and cheese, filet mignon (prepared perfectly), and a butternut squash risotto that was too sweet for my taste but my girlfriend liked it. All told it was a decadent meal and a great value for the money. The flights of wine are priced really well, though I did not indulge this time I'll definitely try it next time I take a trip to Rehoboth!

Food is consistently decent if you know what to order. Fan of the French Onion soup, mac and cheese, and the oysters. Service is always good. However, Appletini needs some work. My picky husband liked his Dirty Martini though.

Great brunch! Huge bread basket and fruit served. $15.00 unlimited bloody brunch. Our food was delicious and large portions. Very convenient from the beach area.

Nage staff show justified pride in their food and service. What an excellent find off main Rehoboth - and they're open for lunch! We enjoyed soft shell crab BLT, mussels with chorizo, and crabcakes. Every dish was deftly seasoned, beautifully presented and totally delicious. Now I want to go for dinner, Hint: order a side of soup or salad @ $3 or $4; it's the bargain. Our waitress Bret was attentive and informed; even the server staff was handsome with big smiles. You can tell they know this is a great place to eat.

Ok, so I admit I shop on Restaurant.com and think I'm getting a deal but figure out when the check comes that I just saved 20% not 50%. But that is a side bar to the amazing goodness of this restaurant. My gal and I shared a three course meal, starting with eggplant, spinach and ricotta roll up, fried to perfection, with a tempanade and light tomato combo, not soaking in it, but finishing it in a flavor explosion. Followed by perfectly cooked wild salmon with white asparagus spears in a sauce that I cannot remember and a starch I cannot remember, but mmm mmm good. The dessert with cappuccino was amazing, the cheese cake was red velvet. Now I'm not a big fan of red velvet cake, but this dessert was memorable. So when you are in the area, and you have had your fill of grilled oysters rockafeller at the Crab Bag in OC and $1.50 drafts 11 AM till 7 PM daily (oh yeah) then get your sunburnt butt to Nage for a truly memorable meal. OMG I want more! Nage has a location in DC, too.

Great gem on the Route 1 just north of the Rehoboth exit. Great seasonal food with warm service. Nice wine and beer selections. Desert came up a little short.

We've been here probably about 6 times and every time it was excellent. The food is a great example of inventive dishes which combine 4 or 5 simple ingredients to create a new flavor sensation altogether. It's heartier than Nouvelle French and more down to earth. I'd call it French inspired bistro food beautifully and artfully prepared and displayed. The interior is simple and a little elegant. I see people dressed to the nines and then others in shorts and a T-shirt...hey, it's the beach after all. You can't go wrong here and you really can't go wrong with the shoe-string French fries cooked in truffle oil...totally worth the heartburn!

Best catering service ever, bar none. I've been to Nage's D.C. location several times, and it remains our favorite restaurant in the city. It was a no-brainer when we were looking for someone to cater our wedding in Lewes and discovered that they had a Rehoboth Beach location. After having brunch at this location, it was hard for anyone else to compete. Our brunch included appetizers, salad, bacon, frittata, french toast, pumpkin spice pancakes, cured ham, fruits, pastries, a Bloody Mary bar, you name it. Everything was executed really well and we were getting comments weeks after the wedding about how good everything was. If you're eating here for lunch, I really recommend the sandwiches and burgers. They're excellent. They also have a great selection of local and regional beers, and they would always offer me a taste before I bought one. Josh, our coordinator, was incredible. He responded quickly to our questions, was always available when we needed to meet in person (despite our hectic and busy schedules) in either D.C., Lewes or the restaurant. He accomodated as many requests as possible, had great suggestions, and was friendly and knowlegeable. Their entire catering staff was also really friendly and did an efficient job. They were on top of everything, including set-up and clean-up. I recommend Nage to anyone traveling to the area looking for a restaurant and anyone looking for a catering service, period.

Surprisingly delicious. It took a little while to get started and then the service was warm and attentive. We got the Nage Frites- free thanks to the yelp check-in. And pretty much ordered all the specials. The highlight was the Shrimp and Pork Belly. Wasn't sure what to expect with that, but it was the best pork belly i have ever eaten - kind of like a beef short rib, but with pork. It melted in my mouth. The only item I didn't care for was the grilled peach salad, probably because it was just ok and everything else was delightful. Will definitely go back. Yes, a reservation is a good idea. It's worth getting out of the downtown area.

Good. I like the idea of seasonal farm to table and food with a creative twist. I like the shifting menu but some of the dishes are over wrought in concept. The execution was just ok. I started with the macaroni and cheese. The lure was truffle and fresh a English peas. When it came, I didn't notice the truffle. Perhaps the added truffle oil or butter too early in the preparation and it cooked out. Overall, The flavor was nice but familiar; creamy like the Alfredo at my favorite pizza shop. Good but not unique to one chef or another. I also sampled the cantaloupe gazpacho. A bit too sweet and scented with honeysuckle. Creative but a bit much. My entree choice was the house favorite seafood stew with saffron tomato broth. The seafood was properly cooked with juicy shrimp, clean clams and plump mussels. I had two problems though. The broth was under seasoned and there wasn't enough fish. Nothing beats nice chunks of firm fish in a seafood stew. This one had a small piece of white fish added as if an afterthought. I also tasted a short rib special. The meat was a bit dry. The sauce had a nice but once again familiar red wine reduction. Dessert was standard. A nice creme brûlée offering and a dry chocolate cake flavored with liqueur, served with ice cream. I will go to Nage again because I believe in the concept and the food has promise. I just wish I had a better first impression.

After my three most recent visits, I have to seriously downgrade Nage. It's a shame because I liked it, but two of my last three meals had serious flaws. During one meal I ordered the special, veal cheeks on hash ( i don't remember if it was bison or venison in the hash). the potatoes in the hash were completely burnt, as in like charcoal!! Never should have been plated, a real disappointment, and inedible. On my next visit I ordered the braised short ribs, which arrived ICE COLD. I had to sit and wait while my dining partner enjoyed, and finished his meal . Chef Ari was kind enough to personally bring my reheated dish to the table and apologized, but at these prices inexcusable. I won't be back.

Terrible. I went there for Sunday brunch with a group of friends and we were completely disgusted. I got the "Kill-It-Skillet" and it was just a greasy bowl of nastiness. I couldn't even eat half of it because it was so gross. The "bottomless" Bloody Mary was rather bland and unimpressive. Two members of my party got the flatbread and they were not at all pleased with it. Also, the menu stated it had shrimp on it but it arrived sans shrimp. When they pointed this out to the waiter, he said it was a "typo" but he did bring a side of shrimp. However, the worst thing about this place was the greasy floor. I mean REALLY? A greasy floor? REALLY? That had bad management written all over it. I think the DC management team needs to come to the beach and straighten this place out.

Amazing! Atmosphere is casual, but sophisticated. Although it was busy, we were seated immediately when we arrived with no reservation on a Saturday night - the location might have helped us here, as the front of the restaurant does not face the road and it might be easy to miss among the lights and traffic of Highway 1. Service was fantastic - informative and friendly. We started with the Baked Oyster Asiago, which was delicious. I also liked that they actually price this dish per oyster so that you can choose how many you want to be included in your appetizer. We got six to serve the two of us and this was sufficient. They also provided complimentary olive bread with a nice EVOO based dipping oil. For his meal my husband had the Chesapeake Crab Cake entree, which was served with grilled asparagus and an amazing seasonal succotash that was out of this world! (Of course I tasted it!) I opted to have two "sharing plates" as my entree (these are specifically portioned to allow for flexibility - an appetizer if you share, more a first course if you don't). I had the Watermelon Salad with Arugula, Walnuts, and Lemon Ricotta as well as the Pan Seared Scallops with Corn Relish. They were both outstanding! The presentation on all the food was exquisite - I would have taken pictures, but felt a little self-conscious doing so as we were seated at a table literally in the middle of the busy dining room and it just seemed wrong to me at the time. After our meals we were a little disappointed to learn that they do not have espresso/cappuccino, but honestly, we were so giddy from our amazing meal that this hardly mattered to us at all! This was a pricier meal, but it was totally worth it!

Great food, excellent atmosphere, and hard working wait staff all in a quiet comfortable presentation. We dined on a Thursday night, where they feature locally grown produce... Which the meal even better. We each sampled apps, I had the tuna and my wife had the locally grown salad. After a long wait, we ordered and split the ribeye, which was cooked to perfection. Definite dining spot when you stop in this area.

I hate to write a negative review of this restaurant, since their concept is great, the menu is well-done with healthy yet gourmet, including some vegetarian, dishes (looks like the restaurant has a "meatless monday" each week which sounds awesome). However, after dining here this past weekend, I came down with food poisoning and got pretty sick all night following. Toward the end of our meal, the waitress (who was very professional and nice) mentioned that the restaurant had lost power during the severe thunderstorms. I can't help but wonder if not all of the food was thrown away following the storms. As a professional athlete, food poisoning for me is more than an inconvenience, but there's no excuse for this to happen to anyone at a restaurant. Furthermore, I felt that the customer service (our great waitress aside) was lacking... Others in our party were unhappy that some of the specials were not available anymore, that the air temperature was so hot inside the restaurant, and that one of the dishes ordered wasn't what we expected and requested to speak with a manager, who did not come over to talk with us despite our asking twice to speak with him, even though the restaurant wasn't that busy anymore and he was walking around not seeming very busy. Furthermore, due to the hot temperature inside the restaurant, we requested to move from our booth to a freestanding table to get more airflow, and they moved our party of four to a very tiny table that COULD seat four, but being 9pm and the restaurant emptying out, they could have easily given us more room at one of the bigger available tables (leaving two of the small tables together, which they purposefully pulled apart to give us just ONE tiny table), rather than having us cram all of our dishes onto a tiny space. I won't be going back here, which is a shame because it appears to be a restaurant with a great menu, which is lacking in this region.

My friends and I stopped by Nage for brunch on the way back to DC. From the outside the restaurant seems unassuming and almost hidden away. Right as we walked in, we were nicely greeted and quickly seated. I was not feeling that well and the hostess right away headed to the kitchen to get some warm bread from the oven which was very sweet. The server was very kind and patient with us 5 somewhat indecisive ladies. We did not feel rushed and enjoyed our delicious breakfasts. Even though it's not that close to the water, I think it's worth the drive to head up the Coastal Highway for brunch here.

Everything about this place surprised me. My friends and I were on our way home from a trip to Cape Henlopen and were looking for a place to have dinner. We had an out-of-towner and a vegetarian in tow, so we were hoping to eat somewhere 1. special/memorable/unique, and 2. vegetarian friendly. The second criterion is always hard to fulfill near the beach were there is an abundance of seafood restaurants, lest we subject our veggie friend to eat apple sauce, over-steamed green beans, and potatoes prepared in every style. Our first choice was Dog Fish Head Brewing Co. but it was so packed that night and seriously, who wants to wait 2.5 hours for dinner? That's just nuts. Thanks to my handy dandy Yelp app on my phone, we were able to locate a few places nearby and I started making calls to see if they could accommodate our group and had a few vegetarian options. After several disappointing phone calls, we were about to admit defeat and surrender the vegetarian to the potatoes when important key words like "fresh" and "local" jumped out of my phone and slapped me in the face. Usually a hippie dippy combo of words like that indicate that the restaurant has veg options (fyi this place is anything but hippie dippy... not that I don't appreciate hippie dippy). The stars aligned and the friendly host at Nage informed me that we were just in time to poach a no-show table for a reservation of the same size (score!) and that they have plenty of vegetarian options (double score!)! Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were wondering what kind of place this would be. It's located in a small strip of a strip mall lot with a gigantic liquor store next door (more on this later). We walked in and immediately felt underdressed showing up in our flip flops and shorts with sand and salt all over our hair. Oh well. No one did the down-up disapproving eye scan and we were seated immediately. Looking over the menu, there were so many options to choose from, even a special vegetarian tasting for our friend. They have small plates, entrees, and platter-type specials. The drink menu was extensive, but we settled on some cocktails and two of us got wine flights. Umm before we move on... Our wine flights had 3 options to taste from but "taste" is a major understatement. Our server poured 3 almost full glasses of wine! I got 3 glasses of wine for $9. Unbelievable. I liked the "Worldy Whites" except for the Riesling. The best thing about eating with a group is that you will get to try a lot of things at a restaurant (unless you're the kind of friend who doesn't like to share food *cough*my BFF*cough*). We ordered a bunch of small plates to start, entrees, and dessert. Our server was very helpful and recommended a few things when we couldn't decide. Of the things we ordered, my favorites: Bacon and eggs - so good that it made me curse. House-made bacon, silky smooth egg relish with capers. Who can say no? Truffle mac and cheese - Mmmmmmm. And the peas.. mmmm. Shishito peppers - Never had these peppers before but they were wonderful! I've been dreaming about these peppers ever since. Prime rib burger - pretty darn good. I have terribly high standards for burgers and this was up there. Didn't beat my favorite, but up there. The vegetarian plate had a few highlights as well, but I only got a tiny bite. I was told the grits were good and I think there was a yellow cream of tomato soup (among a variety of other things). By the end of the meal, we were very satisfied. I really enjoyed my meal here and appreciated how unpretentious the whole experience was. I will definitely be returning to this location at Rehoboth and trying out the DC location.

Amazing. The food was outstanding and the service was knowledgeable and friendly. I visited in September and I'll do my best to correctly recall what we ordered. We started with several appetizers including what I believe (may have them a bit mixed up) was an apple and sweet potatoe soup with foei gras, the beef carpaccio, duck confit with I believe a type of sweet biscuit/cookie, and hummus. Everything, I mean everything was delicious. For dinner my family all had the Beef Bourgione , which looked delicious, however I'm not a fan of that dish anywhere, just personal preference, it WAS however cooked and flavored perfectly. For myself I had the soft shell crab and pork. It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The soft shell crab was lightly fried, the outside was nice and crisp with a superb batter that was not overwhelming or greasy and the inside of the crab itself was still moist and juicy. The side of pork it was cooked with reminded me a bit of pork belly(perhaps it was, like I said it was a few months ago) and complimented the crab superbly. Needless to say I'm upset that I live in California and can't go back to this place on a weekly basis. The wine list was great, they offered 2oz, 6oz, or 9oz glasses and had several wine flights. I chose the Flight of the Conchords after a nice glass of Dogfishhead pumpkin ale. The flight consisted of (if I recall correctly) Penfolds Bin 128 shiraz, a Stags leap shiraz, and I cannot recall the last one. My only little gripe was that I mentioned to the server it was my mothers birthday and nothing was really said or mentioned. I mean even sticking a candle in one of the desserts we ordered would have been nice. But hey, not everywhere does that and it was just a little thing I would have liked for my mothers benefit. This however didn't really hinder our meal at all and everyone liked their meal. The food here is fantastic. It's in a little shopping center and doesn't look like much from the outside but try it . The prices are good , the service is great, and most importantly the food is amazing. Go!

Amazingly good food! Salad, mac and cheese, and turkey sandwich are all fantastic. Only odd thing was we had 2 waiters the entire time- and it seemed as though they weren't communicating with one another so we were asked the same questions twice. One seemed to know what she was doing and the other had little grasp of the menu. Thankfully, the food made up for what the staff lacked.

We stopped in at lunch during holiday shopping on Monday 12/14 and was surprised at how crowded the restaurant was, a private party occupied one room and the dining area appeared to be commandeered by only one waitress. In talking to her the lunch rush was a shock and they did not expect to see so much activity - kudos to the waitress we had the best service from her and the restaurant management on such a busy afternoon. I was always a bit apprehensive to go to Nage I thought it would be a bit snobby but we were pleasantly surprised. Anyway to the food -I had the Prime Rib Burger noted by the Food Network as the 'Best Burger in Delaware' and it was. The flavors were amazing and hands down it is one of the very best burgers I have ever eaten. My dining partner and I shared the Onion Soup - to die for, she also had the crap cake lunch entree and was as equally impressed with that as I was with the burger. For great service and phenomenal food I recommend not passing this restaurant up, I can not believe I have not tried this restaurant before but can guarantee you, I will be back and it will be around for a very long time.

As good as it gets! Food is amazing and the menu is changed frequently. Prices are unreal for the quality, staff is friendly and more important, knowledgeable. In a small strip mall near the Salvation Army, tucked conveniently next door to a fish market! I spent several weeks in Rehoboth and ate at Nage maybe 15 times. Weekdays they were offering a 4 course dinner for $35 which was the best deal I have ever had for a meal. The wine selection is great and they allowed us to taste before we chose. How nice is that? Like I said, they change the menu often but some of the standouts I had were the zinfandel braised short ribs, the lobster knuckle sandwich with tarragon mayonnaise, and the juniper berry creme brulee. They have a location in DC which I plan in visiting next week! (update) I didn't get to visit Nage DC and am kind of irked. Did I mention that they make the best French fries I've ever had? Auf.

First yet me say I found this place using yelp and I want to thank that dude from San Francisco who gave this place high marks! I am so glad I checked yelp before booking a reservation. The locals probably don't want me posting this place but it rocks! This place was great. Unpretentious and welcoming - Nage's slogan "Creative food without the 'tude" is spot on. Wonderful fusion cocktails that make things fun from the get go and a very nice wine list. They get it when others don't. They deliver with friendly and knowledgeable service and quality ingredients that make your taste buds say - wow, this is awesome! Our scallops appetizer was cooked to perfection, made with pancetta and small starchy things I can't remember, but the sauce had a hint of vanilla...mmmm, I wanted to dip my finger in the sauce to scoop up the flavor. I hear the braised beef shank (i think) is excellent too. My wife tried the Grilled pork chop with a bacon & kale & black -eyed pea relish - not my thing but she liked it a lot and I had a center cut rib eye steak cooked to perfection with a truffle potato cake that melted in my mouth - holy sh-t that was good! The french beans in a roasted shallot butter was delish. For dessert we shared a pumpkin martini with cinnamon and other spices - inside a graham cracker rimmed martini glass - just excellent and yes I dipped my finger in that to scoop every last drop! We liked it so much we came back the next day to sit at the bar & split their 4-way mac and cheese and a prime rib burger made with gouda cheese and onion and these fries made w/truffle oil - omg good, while watching the football game...I think truffle oil would be great on anything. Everyone in that place is super nice! :) :) :) Menu changes frequently and they buy a lot of produce from the local farmers supporting the local economy...ding! Good times - keep up the good work Nage! Yep, this foodies dream come true.

Outstanding! Service and food alike were incredible! We had dinner on a Saturday night and were just blown away by the outstanding service! We had to try the "Best Hamburger" this past weekend. There were so many spices in the meat, it destroyed the flavor. Lets face it, the fat in the meat gives it such wonderful taste. This tasted only of spices. The service was very slow. We have tried this place three times, and always feel like they are trying new combinations of spices that don't taste very good.

My cousin booked this restaurant for 4 of us to have dinner. I hadn't been there before, hadn't read any reviews and honestly didn't know what to expect. The Maitre d's leopard print hair-do and dapper seersucker suit threw me off a bit and I felt like we would definitely be in for a memorable evening. The decor in the main dining room was bland and uncreative. In fact, it reminded me of a dull version of Cosi's decor. When I opened the menu, I was delighted at some of the options. The wine list was also a very pleasant surprise. Not only was the wines by the glass list extensive, but you could order 3 quantities. The largest is a medium sized personal carafe, which will provide 2 glasses of wine. Even though the Sauv blanc wasn't nearly cold enough, it was tasty and was only $10 for the mini carafe. On to the food: I could not believe they had Bison tartare on the menu as an appetizer. I LOVE steak tartare and couldn't wait to try this. It was delicious. I ordered the Filet Bourguignon and it was truly terrible. The vegetables were undercooked, the noodles were overcooked and they have no right using the word Bourguignon on this menu item. While the filet was tender, the whole concept was a disaster. My cousin went to order the chicken and was told they had just run out. Out of chicken at 7pm on a Saturday night....SERIOUSLY? Two burgers were ordered to the table and the consensus was that the the bun was terrible and the burger was mediocre. Only a couple of items at our table were worthy of any praise: I sampled a bite of the mac and cheese and it was without a doubt the most tasty I've ever had. If you prefer a more bland mac & cheese, this may not be for you as the flavor is full-on (possibly because of the 5 cheese blend). Also, their fries are extraordinarily delicious - carbs be damned! We ordered some coffee and called for the check. We paid the check and stayed to chat and enjoy the coffee. From then, trying to get anyone's attention for a coffee refill was impossible. We eventually gave up and left. At this point, I'm not sure we would go back. There are too many great spots in Rehoboth. Of course, mine is only one opinion and this place was quite busy so maybe it was an off night for our table.

Sunday Dinner We went out to Nage tonight. They take reservations. Sunday Night is the price fixed fare and the menu looked great. But, they had duck breast and theirs is the best. The food was beautifully presented, well prepared, and delicious. We can always count on the best at Nage!

Usually I like to go to a place at least twice before giving a 5-star. But Nage gets it on my very first visit. It's a little hard to find as you drive south on Delaware Rt. 1 but it's right before the turn-off to Rehoboth Beach. and well worth looking for. I started with the day's special corn bisque. It was nicely spiced. We also had the humus as a starter. This was a good-sized portion with olive tapenade, garlic confit, and nice spiced-honey dipping sauce as accompaniments. I highly recommend the charred beet salad with pistachio encrusted goat cheese. Delicious. As my main course, I had the spaghetti alla chittara. This is an all-vegy dish that is nicely spiced with red pepper. It's a little on the hot side so if you're sensitive you may want to steer clear. I loved it. (And a shout-out to the Nage hostess from Mt. Airy, MD, who gave me the spot-on recommendation. Thank you for that.) We also had the corn ravioli & lobster. This was deemed exceptional. And we had a chef's special: grilled hoisin marinated salmon. This, too, was judged excellent. I started the meal with the cherry-vanilla Manhattan. This was just a great cocktail. You should try it. I thought the summer sangria was good, too. The staff was excellent. We had Jen B. as our server but everyone was very attentive and friendly. We never wanted for anything, water glasses were kept filled, and they knew the menu very well. Be sure to fill out the survey card at the end of the meal with your phone number. If you forget your hat, they will call you. Thanks for that... it was my only Panama. This is a really fine restaurant. Not super fancy. And a wonderful place to go especially if you're tired of the whole boardwalk beach food thing. Highly recommended.

Came here for Sunday Brunch during a girls weekend to Rehoboth. Got a spicy Bloody Mary, my friend felt hers wasn't that spicy but I felt mine had a good kick. Ordered the chicken chiliquiles to go with the bloody mary. Meal was good and even included a little side salad. Portions are large definitely split if you can especially if heading to the beach after otherwise eating it all will make you feel heavy. Definitely would come here again.

What a huge disappointment- will never go back. 5 of us ordered 5 different dishes- none of us liked anything. Soup laden with Basil, everything way over salted and over seasoned. Goat cheese dry and not creamy at all, definitely not best hamburger in Deleware. Save yourself the trouble and mark this off your list to try - yuck.

My wife and I have eaten here a few times and it's always been good. The food is solid and not overdone. I usually get the truffle steak and potatoes and it's great. My wife always orders a fresh fish and has never been disappointed. The flat bread appetizers could be better. We ordered them once and have avoided them since. The atmosphere is compact, but you never feel like you're crowded. Even during it's busy times, you can still hear your friends at the table. I'd recommend Nage to anyone.

Ambience and concept of food is GREAT, but my dish was served luke warm. Very disappointed. The drinks were great though.

Five of us had an excellent meal tonight. Lisa our waitress was very professional and described the Deckle perfectly. Very passionate and had a good sense of humor. This will be a yearly visit each summer we come. We love Rehoboth and there are so many restaurants to visit. Try this place and ask for Lisa you will get the service you deserve. A+

Burger was great but the truffle fries were even better. Also had the lemonade and hummus and crackers. All very good. We got the free fry coupon from yelp! Another great find in the area. Our waiter was amazing. I liked the vibe of the chefs (they were having a pre-seating meeting at a nearby table since we were there very early.) The market next door looks great too and had many of the same foods. Not cheap but good food is worth the money.

"This food's pretty good." "What?" "I said, 'This food's pretty good.'" "WHAT?!?" "I SAID THE FOOD"S GOOD!" Yeah, but the venue is too loud. Which kind of ruins it for me. Tucked away in a strip mall, Nage has a fun, seasonal menu that is likely to satisfy the less-adventurous (meat and potatoes) as well as the more-adventurous (foie gras shooters). It's a casual atmosphere in the best and worst sense. If ebullient, loud beach folk are your folk, you'll be set. If you prefer not to have to shout over your mixed greens, this might not be the place for you.

We found this on yelp on our vacation to Ocean City. Drove 20 miles because of the great ratings. Wife ordered the shrimp and salad I ordered the spaghetti. Portions were small and overpriced. Wife couldn't even finish hers because of the taste. Mine tasted good but no better than some spaghetti and prego sauce. Service was so, so. We will not come back and we don't recommend this place.

Tonight was AMAZING!!! Everything was on point. A must have is the Fluffernutter bread pudding with the white chocolate house made ice cream. Everything was perfect.

Absolutely everything we ate was awesome from the Beet Salad with a petite filet mignon to the frites and 3 desserts, especially the peanut butter bread pudding. . .OMG all of the food, without exception was above and beyond our expectations. The service was spot on with the team concept going on, it works well. The Chef and the Sous Chef were great to speak with and the decor was modern with an eclectic air, all under-stated and quite nice. Even the complimentary appetizer of hummus and wonderful chips was an unexpected surprise and delicious. Everything was awesome! No complaints here. Food was out of this world fresh and tasty. Loved it all!

Absolutely amazing dining experience! The food was phenomenal!! We had the nage frites and brie for appetizers. For dinner between my mother had The HH specials: French onion soup and Black kale salad. The kale salad had quite a lemon zest with a little kick. But the kale salad was one of my favorites things we ordered. My father had The lamb chips which were absolutely scrumptious! I had The beef cheeks which was were perfectly tender, practically falling apart with a fork. They were incredible. The atmosphere is great. The rustic chandeliers are fun. The staff was friendly and attentive. I have nothing bad to say other than that I am sad we do not have this restaurant close to my home.

I usually dine alone and for some reason I get the crappiest service here. It's a shame because the kitchen puts out such nice dishes.

Just moved here 18 months ago and have enjoyed a wide variety of restaurants with excellent food and value. This was our first disappointing experience. Although the atmosphere is nice and features a wine bar. We ordered the Scallop (and mixed seafood) dish and their Seafood House Specialty for dinner. Scallops were good but a bit salty. The lobster that was mixed in was tough and overcooked. The Seafood House Special included hardly any seafood, except shrimp. It was mostly potato slices, tomatoes, and very over cooked broccoli. Poor quality, very pricey.

Nage gets 4 stars for the service, food, and drink selection. Although sitting at the bar, a number of waiters and the bar tender ensured that I got everything I needed. Probably lucky enough to even have them check on me when I don't have a mouth full of food as well. Ordered their daily special: a brisket sandwich served with sauerkraut/thousand island dressing on a beer bread along with a light and fresh arugula salad. Not the best brisket I've had, but I'd order this dish again in a heart beat. The wine flight I chose was the Robust Reds; Ben Marco (Malbec), La Crema (Pinot Noir), and Dynamite (Zinfandel). The Zinfandel took the cake from the flight followed by the Pinot Noir. The venue was definitely hidden as the outlets and other local shops over power it. In the end I've found my new go to spot when I head south to Rehoboth Beach.

At first was skeptical about this restaurant, as it's in a shopping lot area... Well, was I taken aback once we were seated. Open kitchen- looks clean. Staff- very friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. Food- fantastic and fresh. 4 of us came to eat here and all of our dishes were delicious. I ordered the crab-cake entrée and it was to die for!!!! A nice size portion, too, and they weren't extremely pricey. Good job!

My first time at Nage and not really impressed. Too expensive for the quality of food. The clams casino which was recommended was pretty much dry bread crumbs on long shells. You could taste garlic and onion but not clam bits that were far and few. Also tried the pork. Very dry and not much taste. Also had a Pot Pie that was very tasteful, but also very rich. A confusing taste to be kind. It was a week night and very cold outside. It was pretty empty and I was asked if I had a reservation. I should have left right then. The $60.00 bottle of wine offer with 1/2 price when I returned was a turn off. As well as the Nage card offer. What a joke. It was like a high end want to be restaurant. Not impressed. The service was very good, but the food is over priced for what you get.

If you go on "Meatless Mondays" and get the sweet potato chili relleno. You won't be disappointed. Sweet, spicy, salty, and acid! Cilantro high notes. Amazing balance. Amazing texture. I wish it were on the regular menu! Great dish!

Probably 3.5 stars I would say. Tucked away off the beaten path on Route 1 is this place selling itself as a bistro. Menu fare simply consists of one person appetizers, then small plates and entrees. Some typical standards are on the menu such as steak frites. Then to match there is a good amount of seafood here. The menu is fairly basic but surprisingly it's the specials here that were the most impressive. Veal melts in the mouth, and a simple asiago oyster is big on the mushrooms. Mac N Cheese here is a bit better than most places I've had also. Steak frites is fairly basic, but with a simple sized not overbearing slab of hickman's sirloin. Frites though are shoestring potatoes, which I don't care for because they get cold quickly, but they work well with wine reduction sauce. The specials seem to rotate, and a wheatberry vegetarian course with quinoa and mushrooms was full of flavor and chewy good textures (sans the bitter green radishes). In fact some of the specials were out and it's too bad, since the seemed better than what was on the main menu, and sort of were a different take compared to the regular bistro food items. Service was very attentive, and helpful. Wine lists includes several flight options which always nice (by the way the pours on those were generous!). An ok place to know about, I could return perhaps.

Found Nage with the help of yelp... It truly lived up to its 4 star status. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with a side of potato latkes. Eggs were perfectly cooked and came out plated with a arugula salad lightly dressed with picked red onion. The acidity of the picked onions nicely offset the richness of the hollandaise. The Latkes were light, with out the greasy heaviness seemingly inherent at other restaurants. My friend had the eggs with bacon and grits. Being from the south I was curious of his report on the grits... They passed with a thumbs up! Service was too notch, complimentary pastries came out while we reviewed the brunch menu. Coffee was good and refilled promptly. I observed neighboring tables bussed of trash and napkins refolded for guests who got up and stepped away for a moment. Our waiter was attentive with out being pushy and with served the bill and final coffee with the quiet efficiency of an English butler Will definitely be returning next time I'm in Lewes, I'd would like to check Nage's dinner menu, and bar offerings. It was after a recent snow with temps in the 20s on the Sunday we visited. I mention This for two reasons: the restaurant wasn't packed (so service wasn't strained) ... hard to evaluate how they are for a busy service, and the staff was cheerful (not always an easy during winter's chill) 4.5 stars for me!

My husband and I had a delicious brunch at Nage today! Cocktails were yummy but I prefer my mimosas without ice. I had the white cranberry mimosa and my husband a spicy Bloody Mary. We are not meat eaters and the kitchen was very accommodating and replaced the ham on my eggs Benedict and the bacon in my husbands omelet with crabmeat! So yummy! I forgot to mention that once we ordered we were served rocky road scones and maple cheddar muffins gratis!!! Certainly not a low carb dining experience!!! Both of our meals were served with a delicious arugula salad from local farms! Truly a delicious start to our Sunday and a place we would revisit if ever in the area again.

(08/10/2013) Great little (little!) bistro doing the trendy farm-to-table thing in a strip mall storefront wedged between the outlets and a vacuum store, but don't be put off by the exterior, there's some good eats just inside. Place is vegetarian and vegan friendly, but also plenty of meats for the omnivores. The classic Nage Frites were the thinnest shoestring fries I've had and a mix of white and sweet potatoes; drizzled with an earthy truffle oil and sprinkled with sea salt (Bonus: FREE for Yelpers!). I'm not normally a bread person, but the basket here is not to be missed, they've got a large, open crumbed, chewy, unbleached flour literal garlic bread (that is, whole cloves of nutty roasted garlic baked into the bread; delicious with the floral small-batch herbed extra-virgin olive oil for dipping. We made meals of several "Bites" and "Plates", some hits and some misses in the bunch. The best of the night were the Bites. The Blistered Shishito Peppers with miso honey for a touch of sweetness and Chinese fermented black beans for a touch of salty earthiness were great foils to the fresh, smoky, charred peppers. The Marinated Olives were served in a heady warm rosemary and chile flake-infused olive oil. Foie gras mousse was ethereal, delicious unctuous whipped livers with appropriate accompaniments to cut the fatty mouthfeel (watermelon rind pickles, whole seed mustard, tart apple slices). You have to get the Baked Oyster Asiago, eye-rolling, tender mix of fennel, mushroom, spinach and grated Asiago atop a plump, briny oyster; a decadent and perfect bite. The vegetable cravers raved about the Roasted Vegetable Salad, a variety of nicely charred seasonal farmers market grab bag of vegetables (including a somewhat perplexing round of corn on the cob) over young lettuces with a balsamic reduction. The Vegetarian Tasting (a chef's plate of vegetable preparations) was one of the misses, just seemed like a random mish-mash of some sides they were serving with the other dishes, which is fine, but I wouldn't bill it as something special for vegetarians (they're used to making meals of sides in restaurants). The beet preparations were all right, beets done well in both the pickled and roasted form, but the accompaniments for both seemed more like novelty rather than a good taste pairing (smoked salmon and Hickman's hot sticks, a spicy salami, overwhelmed). The Entrees seemed to be the weakest point. Filet was fine (potato cake was deemed "weird"), Ricotta Gnocchi was fine. The BBQ Octopus was the great disappointment of the evening, strange concoction of a sweet Southern-style cornbread slathered with miso butter (?), fresh-shelled beans and tomatoes strewn atop and grilled baby octopus dabbed with a sweet traditional BBQ sauce; whole thing felt disjointed and honestly the mix was unpleasant to eat all together. Only one sweet tooth at the table, she devoured her Chocolate Mousse in record time, we got to try the chile-flecked chocolate tuiles on the side (interesting, bitter, sticky). Great attentive service, nice extensive wine list with many varietals you don't often get to see in such a small place. A total find and seems to be patronized mostly by locals; it's not really a kid-friendly joint. Def make a reservation ahead of time.

Second Helping. Still awesome and they take reservations, this alone makes it a great place to have your last meal on the way home. The Nage fries are still great and as mentioned a Yelp check-in made them complimentary for us! I had the asparagus soup, nice but a little busy. The soft shell crab plate was nice though could have a little more seasoning. Wish he could have had room for dessert. Service was friendly but also leisurely.

So I went to dinner with Mara G while we were on nearby vacay in Rehoboth Beach. We had a great time together. We love going out together. We waltzed up to Nage without a reservation at the perfect time. There was a tall table available in the bar. Would we like to sit there? Or would we like to wait ~45 minutes? Of course we would like to sit there. The takeaway message here is: make a reservation. I checked in on Yelp and scored an order of Nage Frites for free. Yelpers if you go, at least check in to see if this offer is still available. If it isn't, you must order these frites anyway. These fries are delicious! Shoestring sweet and yukon gold potatoes fried together. This is an amazing combination with just a sprinkle of sea salt. Great. I ordered the beet salad and the butterfish. The beet salad was good. Nice hunks of locally grown beets. The granola was um different. Crunchy. Yeah. No. It was weird. I ate all of the beets though. The standout of my dinner was the butterfish. Dense white fleshed fish in this lovely broth with vegetables. I really needed some protein. I was starved. (I ate chips and carbs all day out on the beach.) We were only blocks from our hotel so I had 2 martinis. Delicious. Potent. Chilled. Then, what do you know, a guy starts playing the guitar. Some tunes are original compositions so I'd never heard them before. Some were clearly recognizable tunes. He is a great guitarist! Catch him on Friday night in the lounge if you can. No cover. I am a fan of Nage. Great food, service, and experience! 08/31/12

I had the crispy duck breast which was good but not crispy. The wife had the chefs choice vegetarian plate which was awful.Dessert was so sweet it was inedible as was the cherry vanilla manhattan. Their website welcomes comments and says they will respond within 24 hrs. After one week still no reply which I find insulting and unforgivable.

It was ok. We were told it was very good and it may have been, but our brunch was just ok. We started with the oysters asiago, which were ok-ok+ with bloodys and mimosas, again ok, although the girls did not like their grapefruit mimosas. The girls had egg dishes, again ok. I had the crab omelette, again ok. My wife had the duck confit whatever- she enjoyed that, so that's a good. Service ok. Coffee also good, gratis muffins and scones also good, but for the tariff, I doubt we will be returning for brunch. Decor tired.

2.5 stars, rounded up. Boyfriend and I were in Tanger outlets and noticed this was in walking distance, so we decided to stop by for lunch. The shopping center that it's in isn't very pretty, and it was a little off-putting. The interior is nice, though. Service was fast, we didn't have to wait very long for our main course. They gave use some crackers and hummus thing. The crackers were really messy because they were covered in salt/cinnamon/whatever, and it got all over the table and the seats. Definitely too salty and kind of gross. We got the free frites from checking in, too. I've never had any frites before but these were a little too oily. I did still like them though, especially since they threw in some sweet potatoes in it. My boyfriend and I both got the lobster mac and cheese. Overall it was good, but it felt like a rock in my stomach afterwards. Quality of the lobster was good, though. Not sure if I'd ever come back here if I was in Rehoboth but it was alright for lunch.

The beach in the off season is a great time to venture out to those sought after spots that fill up way to quickly during the peak season. Nage had plenty of open tables while scouring for brunch spots a few weeks back. My eggs Benedict was average at best but I appreciated the plentiful brunch options including specialty pancakes and frittatas. Service was ok considering we were one of 4 tables we waited a bit to long in my opinion for coffee refills and waters but the muffin basket and fruit tray to start was a very nice touch. Id come back from brunch and maybe order something different next time. Pro tip - free fries with check in . Didn't use this so will def be back

We were here for New Year's Eve- early- to make sure we were off the roads before the drinkers were on the roads. We had heard mixed reviews from friends and wanted to try it out for ourselves. I'm a vegan and was pleased that the chef did vegetarian tastings- however vegetarian does not always equal vegan and the choices were limited. The waitress was very pleasant and sorted out some things for me to eat, and I applaud her for that. My wife had no problem ordering several dishes that appealed to her. On the flip side, the portions were pretty small and really were "just ok". Pricing was not crazy but really did not offer real value either. Good service, so-so food and nothing memorable enough to make you want to come a second time when there are so many superb places nearby. We will not return.

Went here for dinner during my bachelorette weekend. Not only was the staff wonderful and the food amazing, but they brought out complimentary surprises from the kitchen throughout the night: champagne, ahi tuna appetizer and a lemon shot to end the night. We had a fantastic time!! Highly recommend!

Nage is consistently one of the better restaurants in RB. We had a very knowledgeable server which is helpful. Good wines. Localish food. My only complaint was that me and my father-in-law ordered the lobster pasta...which was supposed to be conchiglie. When they delivered the food to the table it was linguini. And the server was like: "Sorry they just told me they were out of conchiglie." So it was annoying they didn't give us an option up front to change the order...which I might have. The lobster pasta was good though. So no bigs. Just a mis-communication between the kitchen/server.

Exploring the beach scene for a solid brunch spot can be difficult. Thank goodness we found Nage!!! Three girlfriends and I cured our bachelorette party fog from the previous night with the incredible food & service at Nage. The deets: Eating gluten free can be a challenge but this was not an issue at Nage. Their menu doesn't list GF options but anyone with the allergy can identify and inquire about what is safe to eat. Drinks: Our table started with peach mango, pomegranate & grapefruit mimosas and a spicy bloody mary. Nage doesn't mess around with spicy, there was a serious kick to the Bloody Mary! All of the mimosas hit the spot. The peach mango was the sweetest, as it tasted like a thick puree mixed with champagne. The grapefruit was delightfully tart and fresh squeezed! Food: We started with the baked oysters & baked brie. The brie was wrapped in a pastry so I was unable to try it but the rest of our group was very pleased. The oysters were fantastic. The perfect temperature & the mixed greens were a great compliment. Yelper tip: if you check-in, you get a free bowl of their pomm frites! Before receiving our apps, one of our servers (more to come on their service later) brought us a plate of complimentary housemade pastries. Two passion fruit scones and two strawberry banana muffins. These didn't last long! I couldn't try them but didn't mention that I was GF. One of the waitresses caught on and brought a special GF cashew bar that the chef made that morning!!! Wow, delicious! Points earned!! The main meal: three omelets & one crab topped eggs benedict. My omelet had arugula, asparagus, mushroom, smoked onion & roasted red pepper. The other two were similar but had cheddar cheese, too. The smoked onion is a MUST! Huge flavor pop and it was obvious that Nage pays attention to every culinary detail in their dishes. The idaho & sweet potato hash was full of flavor and balanced the dish. Considering the appetizers & free frites, the portion sizes were enough for us but I'd be disappointed if I hadn't ordered anything else. For the price, the portions are on the smaller side. No one in our group had a single complaint about the quality or flavor of the food. I wish we lived closer because we agreed we'd be back to try everything else on their menu! Service: The hostess was very personable & let us have our pick of seating. The waitstaff is very attentive and they rotate to ensure full coverage on the floor. We had two main servers but a few others served as food runners. This technique was successful as we didn't need to ask or wait long for anything. The floor manager also checked in. Decor: quaint, inviting and polished. Delicate farm style decorations with a modern twist. We had a wonderful experience and hope to be back soon to the Rehoboth beach location or the one in DC!!

The food was fantastic. I strongly suggest getting the Brie Cheese appetizer and the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes if you get the chance to go for brunch. The service was wonderful and the "lightness" of the food was much needed. When in Rehobeth Beach you must visit this restaurant!

I came into Nage last night with my mother for dinner after having been recommended by our neighbor back home. The food and service was great. It was not too loud, which can bother my finicky mother, and the server, Danny, was friendly and accommodating. I had the scallops, which were absolutely amazing. They were perfectly seared and came with delicious sweet potato gnocchi and some veggie purée concoction. Although my mom and I were having a booze-free evening, the cocktail menu had some very appealing options. Our respective food comas prevented us from trying the desserts, which also looked scrumptious. I kept thinking that the place would've been great for a night out with friends or a date.

Went for brunch and it was great! Had the Brie, lobster benedict, and frites. Frites a little salty but nonetheless yummy. Rest of food and pastries they bring out all sensational. Decorations, ambiance, and friendly server! And just found out they have a location in DC....will come back for sure.

Due to the over-priced super food and their faulty loyalty program, the accurate rating should be 3.5/5. Pros: During brunches, I would recommend the flavorful lobster crepes with grapefruit. The flavors are excellent. A complementary basket of warm bakery goods was served for the table. The size portion of dishes has been often fair. The place has been kid-friendly. The noise level has been fine. The free Nage French fries with truffle oil were obtained easily when we checked-in on Yelp. Cons: During the brunch, the restaurant charged us $8 for only two small pancakes for our toddler. This was truly over-priced. The size portion of the lobster crepes with salad was too small. The Chiquales dish was bland and the tacos were saggy. The dinner menu has been truly over-priced. The description of some dishes can be misleading. The lobster mac and cheese turned out to be some spiral pasta with Alfredo sauce and lobster. It was delicious, but it wasn't matching the description on the dinner menu. The Nage loyalty card can't be used at their Washington DC location because the management is different. The Nage loyalty card program isn't working at the Rehoboth beach location. We paid $25 to receive by mail the Nage loyalty card. We could see on each of our receipts how much cumulated discounts we will be able to receive. We were told we could not received any discounts on the foods until we will have receive the Nage loyalty card by mail. It took about a month and a half to receive the Nage loyalty card. When they changed the percentage of discounts allocated with the Nage loyalty card, all our points were lost by their system. We were never able to benefit from the advantages of their loyalty program. When the restaurant ran out of steak, they substituted it for a lower cut of beef. It happened to us twice during a brunch and a dinner. The waiters let us know only when they served us the plates. They didn't offer any discounts on the bill. Their desserts such as the chocolate cake and caramel creme brulee were too sugary.

Who would expect such fine food in this strip mall? The ugly front door also dissuades one from expecting a good meal. But do come. They were comfortable with my G F needs. The frites are absolutely addictive. I had the burger which had amazing smoked onions although the tasteless cheese on it did not add much. Also had a very nice kale salad.

My husband and I couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary - especially with an adorable 11-week old date-crasher in tow. lol! Nage is not the type of place I would normally bring a baby, but since we were visiting Rehoboth for the weekend and had our daughter with us, we really didn't have a choice - and Nage, as beautiful and upscale as it is, was happy to oblige us. Upon arrival, we had to wait a bit until our table was ready, so the hostess directed us to the bar. We felt a bit awkward having a baby at the bar with us, but she was cute and quiet and no one seemed to mind in the least. The bartender said she heard that it was our anniversary and offered us a glass of Moët to celebrate. We didn't know that she was going to keep refilling it after almost every sip. Even when we finally got our seat, our server topped off our champagne throughout the meal - all complimentary, I add! AMAZING! The restaurant is separated into three areas - the bar in front of you when you arrive, a dining room through a room on the left, and a smaller private dining room to the right. On the night we were there, that dining room was used for a few couples and groups, including us - definitely a nice, intimate space. Before we could even order, we were treated to a duo of Baked Oyster Asiago (again - on the house!). I am not a big oyster fan in the least, but these were DELICIOUS! I was so happy that they brought them out and made me try them. Definitely, definitely recommend. I followed up by ordering the Seafood Nage, a mix of scallops, prawns, and clams atop asparagus and potatoes which was delightly fresh and tasty. My husband got the Kale Caesar salad and a Vegetarian Tasting that wasn't on the menu - just the creative works of the master chef. He loved it!! For dessert, I don't remember what my husband got, but I do remember what I got: The caramel Creme brûlée! OMG!!! Soooooooo good!!! Seriously, some of the best I have EVER had and a serious size - not some piddly little dish. Something respectable! By the end of the night we were happily fed, toasted with fine champagne, and satisfied by a delectable dessert, all while experiencing some of the best service ever. The fact that they were so accommodating to new parents with a baby in tow on a Saturday night as well really was the cherry on top. Nage showed their true colors and they were indeed BEAUTIFUL! Next time we are in Rehoboth, we will DEFINITELY be stopping back, but, until then, I am happy there is one in DC. Can't wait to check it out!

What a great way to kick off a well-deserved vacation! Nage is located in a strip mall with a discount liquor store but don't let that deter you. Inside, the restaurant is cozy and tasteful. The food was executed well and the flavors were fresh. We really enjoyed the desserts, too. You're on vacation...go for it!

We went here as a Valentine day celebration a few days before the 14th and ordered their filet and some steamed clams. The waitress seemed to size us up and think we were going to be cheap so service was very slow in the beginning despite maybe 10 tables total being filled. She was very accommodating with having the clams changed from their normal prep and having the chef make them in a white wine and garlic sauce. They were good but not great. The filet was bland and over priced. I have made better steaks at home using top sirloin than their filet. Also there was little to no seasoning on it. While filets do not need seasoning normally, but theirs did after spending over $145 for appetizer, bottle wine, dinner and a split desert, I would say quality of service and food was at most $35. The next day, both me and my girlfriend were sick and had stomach issues. The only meal we consumed together was at Nage so it had to be that. We emailed them later and they refused to even respond about the horrible service and that we were sick the next day from it. If you want a great steak go to Dos Locos. If you want a nice classy meal, go next door to Touch of Italy. If you want to waste money go to Nage. Before you think that this post only comes because I had a bad experience, check out any of my other yelp reviews. This is one of the worst I have ever given and it is well deserved.d

Ate here on a Sunday (3/22/15) to take advantage of a Groupon before it expired. Normally, I say restaurants that need Groupons are usually to be taken with a grain of salt and a crap shoot if they are any good. But remember, it is still the off-season right now. All of that aside, my entire party was blown away. This ranks in our Top 3 in the area by far and we will return (and yes without a groupon..lol). The menu was large enough to cater to all kinds of tastes. The cuisine appears to be Western Mediterranean, with a strong French and Italian influence. I decided to go ahead with the Prix Fixe Special Sunday menu (3 courses for $30) and my choices included: Duck Breast Confit, Sea Bass, and Poached Pear 'Sundae' Duck Breast Confit - I will agree with a previous review, their duck breast ranks among some of the BEST I have tried. It was a deconstructed salad course with Port Wine poached onions, lightly dressed arugula 'salad', and of course the shredded duck breast confit. All of the elements tasted great on their own, but when all three were combined on the fork...it was fantastic! The chef knows his craft and understands how different and varied tastes can compliment one another on a plate. 5-Stars! Sea Bass - It had a very many elements to the plate, which at first worried me, but they absolutely worked. The Well seasoned, generous piece of fish was cooked expertly and paired with a basil and leek soubise (puree), a Pinot Buerre Blanc (though for being a white butter sauce, it was red because of the use of red wine), sauteed oyster mushrooms, and a very innovative sweet potato gratin. Absolutely amazing. Poached Pear "Sundae" - I put quotes because it was far from a sundae, in fact, that terminology bothered me a bit. The plate was far from disappointing (like the name suggests) though. Two small halves of poached pear (in what I can tell was some sort of honey cooking liquid), 1 small scoop cinnamon ice cream, 1 small sccop of pomegranate-cranberry sorbet, and a slice of spiced pear cake. Again, all of the elements together went well and the dessert was thoroughly enjoyed! They have an extensive wine list and full bar, however, their beer selection is a little lacking. Overall... excellent food, excellent service, and excellent atmosphere.
